The Founder of BLK Chicago

Meet Natasha Noire

Hello. My. Beautiful. People.

I'm Natasha Noire, a visionary, storyteller, creative strategist, and the founder of BLK Chicago.

I created this platform because something was missing: a space where Black experiences in Chicago are prioritized where the things we do, love, and create are at the forefront. Not just when it’s trending. Not just when it’s convenient. But all the time.

My journey didn’t begin with media, it started with curiosity. I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of culture, community, and creative expression. Whether it was producing fashion conferences that empowered plus-size women or helping everyday creators find their voice, I’ve made it my mission to build spaces where people feel seen, valued, and inspired to explore more.

BLK Chicago was born from that same energy. A curated experience guide that centers the Black community and captures cultural moments that deserve our attention. I wanted to create something that felt authentic, not corporate or not watered down, but just real people showing up for each other, putting on for the city, and rewriting what visibility looks like in the media for Black Chicago.

In just a year, BLK Chicago grew from an idea into a trusted resource, proving that there’s power in telling our stories on our terms. When we curate with care, people show up. Whether we’re putting you on to a Black-owned brunch spot, sharing an art show you should know about, or amplifying events that mainstream platforms overlook, it’s always rooted in the same intention: to reflect the beauty, depth, and joy of our community.

At the heart of it all, I’m still that same curious girl with a camera and a calling but now, I’ve got a whole city riding with me.

I want people to see that this work is beyond social media content. It is spiritual alignment for me. Guided by faith, intuition, and the whispers of my ancestors, every move I make with BLK Chicago is both intentional and divinely timed. I trust that what we’re building here is bigger than us. It’s cultural. It’s generational. And it’s just the beginning.

Welcome to BLK Chicago. The legacy is in motion.
